OII is very honoured to have allies like Tanguy Pinxteren:

He wishes to join both trans and intersex people in our struggle for human rights for many reasons:

- to offer support (often intersex people are very isolated)
- human rights issues (non-consensual genital surgeries without informed consent are a serious human rights violation)
- political issues (against the binary sex system and its enforcement of norms, and rigid policing of bodies and ideas)

Tanguy Pinxteren is a math teacher in secondary school
- Former Coordinator of LGBT Amnesty International Belgian Francophone Community, presently volunteer coordinator of the Brussells Region for Amnesty
- Co-editor of a guide for educators "Fighting homophobia - For schools open to diversity" (published by the Francophone Community of Belgium and sent to all schools)
- Co-founder of "Genres Pluriels", an association addressing the concerns of gender-fluid person and the intersexed
