Treating intersex as a taboo has had a long-lasting negative impact on the lives of those affected and has forced them into isolation. The intersexed are no longer going to be silenced and in the future are going to stand up to protect intersex children. Society needs correct information and explanations in order for intersex to start being treated in a more flexible manner. Intersexed people are demanding that sex-assignment operations only be performed with the consent of the intersexed person and demand nothing less than that they have the same rights to protection against bodily injury, to self-determination and human dignity accorded to all other human beings

Demonstration 12.12.2007, at 09:30 in front of the Cologne District Court.

This concerns human rights which we will be supporting on December 12, 2007 in Cologne together with Christiane, who has pressed charges against her doctor for bodily injury. She was robbed of her healthy internal female reproductive anatomy and continues to suffer from having been forced into a male sex assignment and was lied to as many intersexed people have been, who has been humiliated and deeply wounded in her sense of human dignity.

We will gather together on Dec. 12 at 9:30 in from of the District Court on Luxemburger Street 101 in 50939 Cologne. Come, all of you, and show that you are in favor of human diginity and rights. Support us in our fight against forced genital surgeries.
